About Ankeny Bike Club

We want to roll out to the community around us and get more folks riding bikes as part of a daily lifestyle!  We are a grassroots group of riders, parents, teachers, coaches, students, and servant-leaders who encourage a healthy lifestyle on two wheels!  Get rolling and get happy!

We encourage regular participation by everyone by eliminating dues and memberships.  Please consider donating to Ankeny Bike Club to pay for ongoing expenses (website, organizational fees, insurance, legal fees, events, storage, tubes, tires, first aid, repair equipment, supplies, etc.) and to help buy bikes, helmets, and locks for those youth who need bikes, helmets, and locks.

We will actively recruit youth who need bikes and need activity, community, friends, and mentors.  Put those screens away and RIDE in your community with your community.  Please read “Cycling is the antidote to childhood obesity”, Rick Vosper, Bicycle Retailer, 12/27/2018.

Ride to school, ride to work, ride to the store, ride to the park, ride to visit, ride to unwind, ride to race, JUST RIDE!
